BACH FLOWER ESSENCE CONSULTATION
AND EDUCATION

Do you sometimes feel anxious, fearful, depressed, or lonely? Are you irritable? Do you lack direction, feel lethargic or can’t seem to make up your mind? Do you feel exhausted by your workload or frustrated and stressful?

You are not alone.

There are times in almost all of our lives when we feel negative emotions and these emotions can often lead to physical ailments.

Dr. Bach (1886 – 1936) became aware that people’s personalities and attitudes have a definite effect on their state of health. As a young doctor, he took an interest in patients as people rather than just cases. Early on he came to the conclusion that, in illness, personality is just as important – and often even more so – than symptoms and should be taken into account in medical treatment.

ABOUT MY PRACTICE

I came across the Bach Flower Remedies when I first started homeopathy school in 2003. I then took the first course and loved the Bach Flower system so much that I decided to go on and become a practitioner. I continued my studies through Living Enrichment - the US educational branch of the Dr. Edward Bach Centre (UK). I finished the program, through the practitioner level, in early 2009. I have been using the flower remedies on family, pets and myself since 2003.

My office is in Olde Towne Pasadena. Before our first session I will send you forms to fill out that will help you start thinking about our consultation. I will then schedule a phone appointment with you to talk about what is going on in your life. This helps both of us because it gives me time to do a little research on my own before we meet. We will meet in my office a few days later. The initial face-to-face meeting should take less than an hour since we have already had an initial phone conversation. Our follow-ups will be between 15 - 30 minutes either in person or by phone.

As a Bach Flower Practitioner my job is to listen to you, educate about the flowers and the process and help you decide what your goals are as we work together. In the end, I will suggest the essences to use for your personal situation but you make the final decision. I will mix the remedy for you at our in office meeting.

Of course, long distance consultations are done entirely by phone and I will mail the mixed flower essences to you.

After that, your part is easy. You will take four drops from the Flower Essence bottle at least 4x per day. You can take the drops directly on the tongue from the dropper or add four drops to any liquid. If you are feeling a bit stressed you can take the drops more often. If you forget during the day (this sometimes happens as you start to feel better) you just keep on as usual. It is also very simple to give the drops to your baby, child or pet.

Follow-ups are scheduled every 3 weeks to start.

My fees are:
$85 for the initial consultation
$45 for a follow-up. (About 1/2 hour)
Mini follow up when refill stays just the same is $25
(Mini follow up is via phone or email).

Yes, I can work with your pets and will come to your home. Travel fees may apply in the case of a long drive.
Pet visits for Bach Flower consultations are $50 and $25 follow up by phone.

ARTICLE FROM: The Encyclopedia of Bach Flower Therapy by Mechthild Scheffer:

Re-Harmony: The Message and Contributions of Bach Flower Therapy

Not long ago I was asked by a young child:

What are the Bach Flowers?

They're soul helpers - they bring messengers from another world.

From which world?

They bring helpful messages and information from the world of plants.

How do they help me?

You have another world within you too, and if the entrance to your other world has fallen shut, they'll help you reopen it.

What kind of world is it?

It's the beautiful world that we all travel to sometimes at night. A land you wish you could stay in, where you find peace and quiet but also find new things.

I've been there already!

Of course you have. We all live in that world as well as in the normal everyday one. This other world provides you with your important personal information when you have problems in your everyday world or when you don't know what to do.

What is "my important personal information"?

It's the answer to questions like these: What do I really want? What's the best thing to do now so I don't make a mistake?

That I know anyway.

True, but do you always? How do you feel at times when you don't?

I feel bad. I don't want to do anything! Sometimes I get so angry that I want to break everything.

And then what do you do to make things better?

I ask somebody .... or just ask my inner voice.

Your inner voice is where you get your important personal information.

Really?

Definitely! How do you feel after you find an answer?

I feel great again; I feel light and have a lot of energy.

Do you always hear your inner voice?

No.... Sometimes it's very far away.

Right. That's when Bach Flowers will help you. It's like making a telephone call to communicate with your inner voice if you can't hear it anymore.

Why is it so far away sometimes?

Because you get cut off from your other world.

The world where my important personal information is located?

.... and that the Bach Flowers can help you to contact again.

MORE DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT DR. EDWARD BACH AND THE BACH FLOWER ESSENCES

Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936) was a physician well ahead of his time. In his short career he moved from orthodox medicine into developing a natural form of medicine to treat emotional and spiritual health, very much in tune with the trends in natural health today.

From an early age, Dr. Bach had been aware that people's personality and attitudes have an effect on their state of health. As a student he took an interest in patients as people rather than cases and early on came to the conclusion that, in illness, personality is more important than symptoms and should be taken into account in medical treatment.

Over the course of time, Dr. Bach came up with 38 remedies to address every emotion. These flower essences, like other forms of natural medicine, take effect by treating the individual, not the disease or the symptoms of the disease. They work specifically on the emotional condition of the person concerned. Thus two people with the same complaint e.g. arthritis, may benefit from quite different essences. One may be resigned to the illness, while the other may be impatient with it, so different essences will be appropriate in each case.

The effect of taking the essences is not to suppress negative attitudes but to transform them into positive ones, stimulating one's own potential for self-healing and freeing the physical system to engage fully in fighting disease and stress.

People do not have to be physically ill to benefit from the essences. Many of us go through times of difficulty and fatigue when negativity creeps in; at these times the essences are invaluable in restoring the balance before physical symptoms appear.
